Adopt-a-Street: West Texas Street
West Texas Street, Fairfield
The Vine has adopted West Texas Street through the City of Fairfield's Adopt-A-Street program. Our volunteers walk the stretch clearing litter and debris, and report back to the city on the condition of signs and fencing.
The city supplies grabbers, bags, gloves, and vests, provides the initial training, and hauls away what we collect. Adopting groups commit to at least six cleanups a year, and the city marks each adopted stretch with a sign naming the group that looks after it.
It is a small, unglamorous, recurring thing — which is exactly the point. The street our neighbors drive every day is cleaner because a group of people showed up again.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Each August
Tomato & Vine Festival
Downtown Fairfield
Each August the City of Fairfield fills downtown for the Tomato & Vine Festival, and we set up among the booths with a free photo booth and an open invitation to pray.
Nobody pays for a photo and nobody has to be prayed for to get one. Families walk away with a picture from their day downtown, and anyone who wants someone to pray with them has somewhere to go.

Food for Neighbors Without Housing
Fairfield and Suisun City
We pack and hand out food boxes and bags for neighbors living unhoused in Fairfield and Suisun City. Some go out from the church, some are carried out to where people already are.
There is no program to qualify for and no questions to answer first. Someone is hungry, we have food, and the two facts belong together.
If you would like to help pack or hand out, or you know a neighbor we should reach, we would like to hear from you.
Every fall
Trunk or Treat
600 Gregory Ln, Fairfield
Our parking lot fills with decorated trunks, candy, bounce houses, and a free photo booth. It is one of the biggest nights of our year and one of the easiest to bring a neighbor to.
Everything is free, nothing is sold, and no one is signed up for anything. Families come, kids leave with too much candy, and that is the whole plan.
Come Serve With Us
Every one of these runs on people who showed up. You do not need to be a member, and you do not need a title — you need a free Saturday and a willingness to pick up a grabber, pack a box, or run a photo booth.
