About The Vine
We are centered on Jesus, and committed to loving Solano County.
Who We Are
The Vine Church is a family of ordinary people who have been changed by the extraordinary grace of Jesus Christ.
We gather each week to worship God, study His Word, encourage one another, and proclaim the hope of the gospel. We joyfully hold to the historic Baptist faith while seeking to cultivate lives that abide in the Living Word, Jesus Christ, and are continually shaped by the written Word, the Bible. From children to senior adults, our desire is to help every person know Jesus, grow in their faith, and faithfully follow Him every day.
Located in Fairfield, California, we are passionate about serving our neighbors and seeing lives transformed throughout Solano County.
Our Mission
We exist to glorify God by making disciples of Jesus Christ and faithfully proclaiming His gospel throughout Solano County and beyond.
Everything we do, from Sunday worship to children's ministry, small groups, serving our community, and global missions, is driven by one conviction: Jesus changes lives, and His message is worth sharing.
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.
What We Believe
Everything we believe - all the details of our doctrine - spring from knowing God through His Son Jesus Christ. He's the reason we exist, the goal we aim for, and the explanation of life!
The Bible
We believe the Bible is God's inspired, inerrant, and trustworthy Word. Through the Scriptures, God reveals Himself, shapes His people, and leads us in every area of life. As followers of Jesus, we continually return to God's Word because it is the foundation for knowing Him and faithfully following Him.
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”
The Triune God
We believe there is one true and living God who exists eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is holy, loving, sovereign, and faithful. He created us for relationship with Himself and continues His work of redeeming people through His Son.
“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all.”
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. Through His perfect life, sacrificial death, and victorious resurrection, He accomplished everything necessary for our salvation. He is our Savior, our Lord, our Rabbi, and the One we joyfully follow each day.
“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer, empowering us to understand God’s Word, grow in Christlike character, and faithfully serve others. He is the great comforter and brings peace that passes understanding. He continually points us to Jesus, producing spiritual fruit and transforming us from the inside out.
“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance...”
Humanity
We believe every person is created in the image of God and therefore possesses immeasurable dignity and worth. Though sin has separated humanity from God, His love has never wavered. Through Jesus Christ, He offers forgiveness, restoration, and the hope of new life.
“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”
Salvation
We believe salvation is the gracious gift of God, received through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone. Through Him we are forgiven, made new, adopted into God’s family, and invited into a lifelong journey of becoming more like Christ.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.”
Baptism
We believe baptism by immersion is the first step of obedience for every believer after salvation. It is a public declaration of faith, identifying us with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and celebrating the new life we have in Him.
“Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”
The Lord’s Supper
We believe the Lord’s Communion is a sacred ordinance given by Christ to His Church. As we gather around His table, we remember His sacrifice, proclaim His gospel, and joyfully anticipate the day we will feast with Him in His eternal Kingdom.
“For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.”
The Church
We believe the Church is God’s family, called together to worship Christ, encourage one another, and make disciples. The local church is where we are formed by God’s Word, strengthened through authentic relationships, equipped to serve, and sent to share the hope of the gospel with the world.
“Let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together...”
Hospitality
We believe biblical hospitality is a natural expression of the gospel. As God has welcomed us through Christ, we joyfully welcome others into our homes, around our tables, and into the life of our church. Through generous hearts, shared meals, and genuine care, we create space for meaningful relationships, spiritual growth, and lives to be pointed toward Jesus.
“Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.”
